Beyond Here” continues as a departure, as a creative and ground-breaking development in progressive jazz-fusion writing from Beth’s earlier progressive-jazz work in Home: Montreal. Spaces Beyond Here focuses on global issues and using them as a point of inspiration for another series of works, creating a full-length, epic and high-energy concert work and studio recording. Given all of the issues facing the world right now, this work is one that will have a high value not only domestically across Canada, but all over the world.

Intended as an illustration of situations and global problems that are not only in front of us, but affecting the entire planet and the human race as a whole, quickly changing how we live each day—identifying and illustrating environmental, social, societal, economic, cultural and international relations issues. These illustrations look to give perspective and awareness of these problems and issues through a programmatic, through-composed writing approach and inspiration from true events.

"Beyond Here" is a progressive and contemporary jazz-rock work that tells stories the life- changing impact felt by many globally, started by decisions and opinions of few.
